Kent and Ryan – two relentless competitors wired to push harder and go further. Kent trained in Judo with the Japanese Olympic team and fought Muay Thai in Thailand. Ryan captained his cross-country and track teams. Two high performers. Two ambitious friends.
Then at 19, everything changed. A tragic accident left Ryan paralyzed from the waist down. The future he had trained for disappeared overnight, replaced by years of physical therapy, mental battles, and rebuilding confidence. Through it all, Kent never left Ryan’s side.
Along the journey, they realized something simple: showing up every day takes energy. And when that energy isn’t steady, everything else suffers.
